Marketing Strategies For Network Marketing Success
If you have been in business or for that matter in the business world for any length of time you understand the importance marketing plays in success. Regardless of your business online or conventional there are numerous marketing strategies available to you and your business.
What is your favorite marketing strategy?
More importantly, how many marketing strategies do you make use of on a regular basis?
All too often I am talking with new entrepreneurs that have just started their network marketing business and they have plans to make millions using the latest marketing strategy. The problem lies in the fact that if you are limiting yourself to one particular marketing strategy you have just illuminated a large number of prospects.
Using multiple marketing strategies effectively will give your businesses the greatest opportunities to increase sales while gaining a competitive edge over your competition. Why would you NOT do take full advantage of multiple marketing strategies?
With the popularity of the internet I am continually amazed by the number of people that are working at a feverish pace to build their business online, while passing up on fantastic opportunities to network and build their business offline. And, yes I would HIGHLY recommend a solid web presence combined with the use of other technologies to increase your chances of success, but that should not be your complete marketing plan.
How many of you actually have anything resembling a marketing plan?
How about business goals and the steps that you are going to take to achieve those goals?
While this could lead to a complete new topic I can tell you that fewer than 10% of the people in the world have written goals and review those goals on a regular basis. The ironic part is that while we all know that we should, the people that actually put this into practice earn on average 7 times more than those that don’t.
Back to our marketing strategies:
Every marketing strategy is unique and should be planned out for your business, goals and of course your budget. While you may have heard how someone built a million dollar income based on a particular marketing strategy that does not mean that the same strategy will do the same for you. I am very much about learning from other people’s successes and mistakes, but I make their ideas fit with my goals, personality, needs and how I do business.
While not all strategies are a fit for everyone below are a number of the strategies that benefit my business:
As many of you know, article marketing is one of my favorite marketing strategies. Once you have written your articles based on your needs (products, service, industry) you will then want to submit those articles to one of the many article submission sites that are available. One of the benefits of article marketing is that they not only increase your website visibility, they also increase the number of inbound links to your site which is a great tool for search engine optimization. The more links, referred to as “backlinks,” you have the greater the chance that when the major search engines index you, the higher in the rankings you will be placed.
While more and more challenging an effective email marketing campaign can be a huge boost to your business. With the overwhelming problem with spam these days getting legitimate email delivered to a prospects inbox is very difficult at best. Additionally, cranking out a professional email that will actually produce results will take considerable effort. Start with a catchy subject line that will at least get the email opened. Then it becomes a bit more difficult to keep your potential customers interested. Any grammatical errors and more than likely your email will go straight to the trash bin.
Unless you have nothing else in life going on, don’t sleep or every leave your computer, auto-responders are a must have tool as part of your online marketing. Setting up an email auto-responder means that your customer/prospect will immediately receive a response from your company assuring him/her their email was received and they will be hearing from you soon. Email marketing and auto-responders have worked for many of the top network marketing companies and if you plan to have any success online you should be using them.
Blogging is yet another very effective marketing strategy when it comes to creating new traffic for your network marketing business. If you are not taking advantage of blogging as one of your strategies, I would highly recommend looking into this as part of your overall marketing. Much like article submission, the goal here is to provide quality content that people will want to read, thereby establishing yourself as an expert in your industry. The great part here is that for someone on a tight budget your overall costs can be keep very low and in some cases zero.
Albeit more advanced than many of the marketing strategies available, another great strategy is to offer reseller, affiliate and associate programs. In case you have ever wondered why there are so many affiliate programs available, it is simply because they WORK. The beauty of these programs is that you are now not trying to dominate your niche market by yourself. This one strategy alone has the ability to drive massive amounts of income your way.
Lastly, while I did not specifically address this topic when mentioning auto-responders, you should build yourself a opt-in email list. While I do not condone spamming which will one get your email trashed and is illegal. People that will agree to receive your emails are the ones that have an interest in your product or service. Opt-in email works to your advantage. If the customers already have an interest it increases your chances of making a sale.
